Cost Mesa Fire Station No. 1, Costa Mesa, CA | WLC Architects
Civic.
City projects are a smörgåsbord of architecture that come with their own set of peculiarities. Taking into account unusual characteristics requires acute problem-solving that makes these projects enjoyable and interesting to shoot.
Where a fire training facility may require us to suit up like firefighters and shoot a room full of flames, a water district office at the top of a water tower poses its own set of logistical issues. Oh. And then there was that padded room, down a long hallway in a detention center. Spooky. Civic architecture is full of complex surprises. Not surprising is our proven ability to take our equipment into all of these unusual spaces and spotlight the architecture in commanding images.
