Game, Set, Match

Grab your racket and sneakers because we're heading to USC's newly renovated Marks Tennis Stadium! In 2015 University of Southern California and DLR Group started work on an impressive project with the goal in mind to be on par with the best tennis facilities in the country! I've photographed a number of different areas on the USC campus and I was excited to add this elegant and cutting-edge training and competition facility to my portfolio.

A Team Above All, Above All A Team

DLR Group, a long time client of mine, combined their expertise in designing sports complex and higher education facilities to ace this renovation project. Knowing that USC athletes, coaches and staff spend a lot of time together, DLR Group designed a number of different community areas for everyone to stay connected. I love that these athletes, DLR Group and I all have one thing in common. No matter what we're doing, we're doing it together, as a team! See the full gallery of photography on my website!

A Better Facility For All

You can't talk about sports without mentioning the die-hard fans that sometimes rival the intensity of the athletes they love. Sports fans always provide dynamic Social Space opportunities. When I found out that our photo shoot included capturing the stadium in action, I couldn't wait to get started!

Trojan Alumni In The US Open

Last year at the US Open in New York, USC Trojan fans cheered on 6 alumni in the qualifying rounds! I wonder how many will qualify this year as the USTA celebrates its 50th birthday! This year the National Tennis Center in NYC will be hosting the 2018 US Open from August 27th-September 9th. The best of the best in the tennis world will converge on this beautiful tennis complex, designed by Detroit architecture firm Rossetti. It's sure to be an event to remember.

Story Behind The Photo

Just a normal day of practice and study for these athletes as I set up to capture this shot. Suddenly, out of nowhere what sounded like a gunshot rang out within the space!A little stunned, I looked around to see how everyone else reacted. Only the non-tennis players looked concerned. Apparently this was normal! Any guesses on the source of the sound? That's right - a tennis ball hitting the outside wall. Wow, talk about power! Ever wonder how fast these athletes server up tennis balls? Check out the Top 10 Fastest Serves of All Times. Learn something new every day!

Searching Out Great Eats

Discovering the best places to eat while I'm on location. It's time to take another international culinary trip with me! This time we're heading to the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico, figuratively speaking. The Chichen Itza Restaurant on the Outskirts of the USC Campus serves up a mixture of Mayan, Spanish and Lebanese recipes that will make your tastebuds tingle! I'm so glad we don't need passports to eat this amazing food! Anyone up to meet me for lunch?
