Down a long stairway, through a maze of power cords, welding tools and sculptures, we met Jon at the door to his Malibu studio. Upon entering his space we were greeted by his numerous dogs and the smell of grease, dust and the faint scent of burning metal.Excited for what was in store for us inside we wasted no time getting the tour started!

Lately, Ive been photographing a lot of art in architecture. Many of the teams I work with have seen the benefits of incorporating art in their designs. Being able to collaborate the capturing of art and architecture is a skill that I have honed and enjoy pursuing.

I walked into the lobby and directly in front of me was an artist at work. Among the hustle and bustle this man was extremely focused. He was painting carefully and passionately, in his zone — lost in his art.
