Kilroy—Art, Commerce and Community
Developers build our cities and the best ones give back. Prominent on the west coast, Kilroy is the pinnacle of commercial real estate developers—always forward-thinking, always collaborating with the communities where they build, always offering innovative workspaces that incorporate a respect and love for the arts.
To show off the grand scope of Kilroy’s vision, Lawrence Anderson Studio satisfied every need through our expansive high-quality, high-tech capabilities including motion, video, stills, portraiture and sound. To escalate their vision, we escalated ours.
Virtual Depictions: San Francisco l Refik Anadol
Their properties have become canvases for a myriad of fine artists and it’s been our privilege to document those installations as part of Kilroy’s realty promotions.
Shooting multiple installations requires great organizational skills to execute travel, film delivery and logistics in what can be delicate situations.
“The Hot One” is a provocative piece of pop culture art in the lobby of the Sunset Media Center. When you cruise by the building on Sunset Boulevard at night, you can’t miss it. Seductively illuminated. Bold. Theatrical. It’s Hollywood at it’s best. The colorful portrait by California skateboard designer, street artist and muralist, David Flores, was a tour de force to shoot. Two-stories tall, it presented logistical challenges, including maneuvering around (and sometimes including) pedestrian traffic. Ultimately we scored, creating 12 stunning photos that crushed it. Tricky. Yes. Doable. Done!
